Morgan was featured in a short film on AIDS education and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Part of the proceeds was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part-time member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is the leader of numerous other fundraisers for the disease as well as testified in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop asked her several times to assume his place in AIDS events. In addition, she hosted the AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her twice about AIDS during Nightline. Morgan won one Emmy Award in Diane English's exclusive Murphy Brown episode that was created specifically for Morgan. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Her summer started by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. She then starred in the production of Harmony Gold, Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film received one of the most impressive ratings to date.
